YWM-Engage Terms and Conditions are outlined below:

Participation in Exercise Programming:

If you engage in the OAC exercise program, you agree that you do so at your own risk, are voluntarily participating in these activities, and assume all risk of injury to yourself. A signed waiver will be required in order to participate in an exercise program.

Convention Registration Cancellation Policy:

Convention registration fees are NONREFUNDABLE. The OAC recognizes that extraordinary circumstances may arise that could prevent an individual from attending the Convention. Requests for refund due to extraordinary circumstances can be submitted through August 15, 2023 minus a $50 processing fee. No requests will be reviewed after August 15th. All requests are evaluated by the OAC and must include your full name, address, date of registration, method of payment and reason for cancellation. Send written requests to [email protected]

COVID-19 Policies:

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and people with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By attending the Your Weight Matters Convention you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. 

Convention Session Videotaping and Recording Policy:

Video, digital recording or live streaming (i.e. cell phones, digital or film cameras or tape recorders) of any kind is not allowed in the General Sessions, Breakout Sessions, trainings and workshops without prior consent/authorization by the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC). This policy applies to all participants, including attendees, exhibitors, sponsors and speakers. Participants found to be recording any portion of the educational content from the sessions without prior authorization will be asked to cease recording immediately. Participants not in compliance with this policy may be asked to leave the sessions and will not be able to return.

By completing my meeting registration, I understand that the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) will be taking photos and/or video onsite at the Your Weight Matters Convention for internal and/or promotional use for future meetings. I understand that this means my image could be used in future promotional materials, and I hereby authorize the OAC to use, reproduce, and/or publish photographs and/or video that may pertain to me – including my image, likeness and/or voice – without compensation or recognition. This material may also appear on the OAC’s Web sites and/or social media, which are public outreach avenues. This authorization is continuous for any video footage captured at the Your Weight Matters Convention. By completing this registration form, I hereby grant the OAC the right to broadcast, exhibit, market and otherwise distribute this material, in whole or in parts, and alone or with other materials. I understand that if I DO NOT choose to accept these terms that it is my responsibility to contact the OAC directly at [email protected] to opt-out.
